Geriatric Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. As a member of our Psychiatry department, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of care across community and acute services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide geriatric inpatient management within the acute care setting, including the 16-bed psychiatric unit and psychiatric consults to medical/surgical units and the emergency department at PRH.
  • Be an integral member of the seniors mental health community team and provide outreach to primary and community residential care.
  • Have opportunities for collaborative work with tertiary geriatric care and developmental disability mental health services.
  • Enjoy teaching opportunities with medical students as PRH is affiliated with UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program.
  • Participate in leadership development opportunities with Interior Health's NAVIG8 Program.
