Industrial Windows Application Developer Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking an experienced Industrial Windows Application Developer to join our team. As an Industrial Windows Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining industrial software applications for our clients in the software industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain industrial software applications for plant floor use.
  • Work with the application architect to learn our client's systems and contribute to the development process.
  • Assemble PCs and interface with external devices through I/O ports.
  • Support Project and Support Team representatives who handle installs and customer issues.
  • Support the Service Team in interfacing to hardware, installation of solutions, and troubleshooting issues.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11.
  • Understanding of SQL Server including SQL Query.
  • Good understanding of VB.net or C#.net.
  • Ability to learn intuitively.
  • Hardware skills - working with serial ports, Scales, Printers, Scanners.
  • Completed education in Computer Science/Development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of mobile development.
  • Knowledge of Web Development.
  • Knowledge of digital I/O.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekend and after-hours for customer installations.
  • Must be able to support our customers after hours if an emergency situation arises.
  • Requires daily interaction with our customers.
  • Must be able to work remotely (from home).
  • Initially must be able to come into the office 1-2 days per week to learn hardware interfaces first hand and see the application working. Will be provided with a station for home use.

In office to start then will move to remote – as per above
