Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Ministry of Children and Family Development. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to children and families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for children and families, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of children's mental health needs, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to children and families.
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers on mental health issues and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in child clinical psychology.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
- Experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
