About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality psychological services to patients in our primary care clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients to identify their mental health needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to patients with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and facilitate group-based treatment programs to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality improvement and research activities to enhance the delivery of psychological services.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from a recognized and accredited learning institution.
  • Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or registration with the College within one year of employment.
  • Two years recent related experience working in primary care or similar settings, including experience working with and leading psychological interventions, consultation, and interdisciplinary team work with chronic health and mental health patients.
