Job Summary
The Stores and Distribution Attendant plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our multi-site distribution center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing computerized applications to manage inventory, process internal requisitions, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and prioritize internal requisitions from various sites and departments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain the cart top-up system by checking supply levels, entering requisition data, and replenishing carts as needed.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming goods and materials, verifying compliance with specifications and completing related paperwork.
- Update inventory records for carts and stores shelving, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
- Marshal supplies and equipment in loading or temporary storage areas, assembling loads and transporting goods to designated areas.
- Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers, completing necessary documentation.
- Operate a truck and various powered equipment, adhering to WHMIS and TDG regulations, and completing required documentation.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance functions on vehicles and equipment, maintaining accurate records and recommending repairs as needed.
- Participate in inventory activities and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12, one year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate related equipment and physically perform the duties of the position.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada, as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
