Field Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Connected Aviation Solutions team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day priorities in solving clients VHF/UHF Radio, Telephone, Networking & PC hardware related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate, prioritize, and resolve issues encountered by customers.
- Analyze system failures, identify, and restore equipment malfunctions and failures.
- Perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment.
- Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
- Manage technical products, services, logistics, and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and recommend actions to company or customer representatives.
- Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- Install and maintain digital wireless communication equipment in the VHF, UHF, 800 MHz bands operating on trunking or conventional modes.
- Install and maintain dispatch console systems.
- Manage statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements.
- Contact customers, collect feedback, and establish and maintain good relationships with customers.
- Communicate and interact, both verbally and written, with English-speaking customers.
- Travel 30%.
- Work in various locations where valid Canadian citizenship, a valid driver's license, and a vehicle are required.
- Monday to Friday workdays with rotational on-call.
- Applicants will be subject to a government security screening.
- Typically requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with RF testing equipment and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in the RF field.
- Be self-motivated and able to work effectively both in a team environment and under minimal supervision in the field.
- Completion of a practical course in the RF Radio & Electronics.
- Completion of a practical course in CompTIA A+ or equivalent.
