Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, Production Machinery

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to join our team at Komatsu (Joy Global Canada Ltd.).

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance mechanics, ensuring the efficient operation of production machinery, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance mechanics to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve work problems and improve productivity.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Project management and coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair technologies, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
