Job Title: Classroom Teacher - Elementary Generalist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified, BC certified teacher for a full-time classroom position at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Williams Lake. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching elementary students and will have a strong commitment to Catholic education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach elementary students in a Catholic school setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • BC teaching certification
  • Experience teaching elementary students
  • Strong commitment to Catholic education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active membership in a Catholic parish
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment
  • Knowledge of current instructional practices and the renewed curriculum
  • Experience using innovative teaching methods and technology
