Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Williams Lake. As an Elementary Generalist, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to students in Kindergarten to Grade Seven.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with curriculum and instructional methods
Requirements
  • BC certification as a teacher
  • Experience working with students in Kindergarten to Grade Seven
  • Strong knowledge of current instructional practices and the renewed curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to excellence in Catholic education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active membership in a Catholic parish
  • Aptitude to integrate Catholic culture in the classroom
  • Experience using innovative teaching methods, including remote learning experiences
  • Knowledge of current assessment methods and strategies
  • Exceptional classroom management skills
  • Desire to provide leadership of extracurricular activities
