Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

Canada West Warehousing Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Summary:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with central dispatch to receive and relay information.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with central dispatch to receive and relay information.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform tasks that require attention to detail and physical stamina.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Truck Driver.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
