Your Role: Commercial Mortgage Underwriter

As a Commercial Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a vital role in evaluating and approving commercial mortgage applications. You will be responsible for assessing credit risks, analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with lending guidelines. Your expertise will contribute to the growth and success of our portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of commercial mortgage applications, including financial documentation and property appraisals.
  • Analyze creditworthiness of borrowers and assess their ability to repay loans.
  • Evaluate collateral value and determine appropriate loan-to-value ratios.
  • Prepare comprehensive underwriting reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in commercial lending.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in business or finance.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial mortgage underwriting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
