Key Responsibilities:
  • Family Support: Meet with families to discuss their needs, answer questions, and provide guidance on funeral arrangements.
  • Service Coordination: Arrange visitation, funeral, and graveside services, ensuring all details are executed according to family wishes and company standards.
  • Event Planning: Plan and execute various events, including resource planning, ordering music, flowers, or catering, producing memorial products, and setting up event rooms.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited mortuary science program.
  • Licenses: Current Funeral Director license as required by provincial regulations.
  • Experience: Industry experience is preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Cognitive Ability: Reason, plan, identify problems, learn quickly, and apply learning to new situations.
  • Communication Skills: Professional written and verbal communication skills, public speaking skills, and ability to influence and gain consensus.
