Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Canadian Tire. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that our inventory is accurately managed and that our customers receive their orders in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the safe and efficient delivery, storage, and placement of merchandise from the truck into the warehouse and/or onto the retail floor.
  • Monitor accurate records of damages, shortages, overages, claims, and returns on all incoming merchandise and outgoing returns.
  • Assist team members in daily operations to meet established productivity goals.
  • Plan and manage daily/weekly departmental activities, objectives, and seasonal changeovers.
  • Train, supervise, assist, coach, encourage, motivate, inspire, and support team members in their departmental operations.

Requirements:

  • Supervisory, leadership, and/or managerial experience or relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in logistics.
  • Trained in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  • Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Ability to plan, organize, communicate, delegate, and follow up on team activities and projects.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning, and reaching.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt, and cope with challenging situations and make difficult decisions.
