We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at BHAG CONSTRUCTION INC. as a key member of our accounting department.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions for taxes, benefits, and other employee expenses.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including statistical and accounting reports.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST/HST and other tax-related documents.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
