CORCYM, a global medical device company, is seeking a motivated and self-directed individual to join our team as a Preventive Maintenance Technologist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, design, fabrication, qualification, and repair of our facility's custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory policies and standards are met in all work completed.
  • Provide backup support for reviewing preventative maintenance records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in existing equipment to increase reliability and reduce costs.
  • Develop and/or assist in developing preventive maintenance standards and methods for equipment.
  • Analyze and present information on new and/or existing equipment to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide leadership in equipment breakdowns and new installations, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in investigating irregularities concerning manufacturing equipment systems.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of preventative maintenance tasks and schedules.
  • Interface with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Assist in ordering equipment spare parts and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Provide backup support to the Maintenance Department as needed.
  • Support and execute calibration activities as required.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of related experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Technical degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Willingness to develop or obtain 5th Class Power Engineer certification.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site position at our Burnaby, British Columbia facility.
  • Weekday shifts and occasional weekend shifts as needed.
  • Physical demands include kneeling, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special garments and safety equipment.
  • Work in confined spaces, including autoclaves and fume hoods.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Handling and usage of chemicals.
  • Shift times vary from morning to midnight.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
