Project Director for Rail and Transit Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design for linear infrastructure projects and programs as a Project Manager or Project Director.
  • Take ownership for all aspects of the management of projects from proposal to close-out, including managing teams, sub-consultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Interface with GHD Design and design team (potentially located internationally).
  • Accountable to contractor questions, reviews shop drawings, and attends sites during construction as required.
  • Prepare, track, and administer project budgets.
  • Liaise with clients, participate in business development, and promotional activities for the company.

Requirements:

  • Registered P. Eng in Ontario.
  • Accredited with PMP certification (or working towards).
  • Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
  • 15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit Projects.
  • Project Delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB, PDB), and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
  • Experience a project through alliance delivery model is highly desirable.
