We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Ringaway Plumbing Heating & Cooling Ltd. as an Installation and Maintenance Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Site Preparation: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Pipe Fitting and Joining: Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Testing and Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Measurement and Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
- Work Conditions: Physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling of heavy loads.
- Work Setting: Various locations, with potential for travel.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, and a team player.
- Language: English.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Employment Type: Permanent.
