Job Summary:
The Lead Animator is a key member of the Reel FX Creative Studios team responsible for overseeing animation on episodes and a team of animators assigned to the episodes and sequences. They are a part of the leadership team that drives the quality and style of the show.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage sequences and continuity of sequences across an entire episode, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual experience.
• Collaborate with the animation team to drive the pipeline, working with technical directors and artists to ensure they have the necessary tools to accomplish their work.
• Manage the animation process, including troubleshooting shots and technical problems as necessary, to ensure high-quality results.
• Monitor shots as they roll from department to department, ensuring they are set up and delivered properly, and make adjustments as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in fine arts or animation, or equivalent experience.
• Senior-level experience in animation, character animation, and lip syncing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in animated films or TV shows.
• Proficient knowledge of high-end 3D software (Maya) is required.
• Strong understanding of animation, acting performance, and cycle.
• Proven leadership and organizational abilities, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration.
