Job Title: Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics to join our Insurance Canada team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic analytics initiatives to drive business growth and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of analytics projects to support growth initiatives, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a single, 360-degree view of the customer to inform business decisions and drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategic insights to drive growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders to inform business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Scotiabank remains competitive in the market.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Finance, or Statistics, with an MBA in Finance or Marketing preferred.
  • Several years of experience in programming, analytics, reporting, and/or data warehousing.
  • Experience developing customer propensity models, AI/ML, and strong working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau.
  • Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, project management, people management, and relationship building skills.
  • Excel programming and Microsoft Access skills, including queries, forms, reports, and macros.
