Job Title: Associate Director Electrical Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Electrical Engineering team in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON offices. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading the development of system engineering concepts, reviewing and managing design in terms of construction budgets, and ensuring proper coordination of documents with internal and external project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement system engineering concepts, including design briefs and concept reports.
  • Review and manage design in terms of construction budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external project teams to ensure that documents are properly managed and that projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on building services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
