Job Summary
The Stores and Distribution Attendant plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our multi-site facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing computerized applications to manage stores and distribution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and prioritize internal requisitions from various sites and departments, maintaining accurate records and data entry into our computerized system.
- Maintain the cart top-up system by checking supply levels, entering requisition data, and replenishing carts or trolleys as needed.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming goods and materials, ensuring they meet specifications and complete related paperwork.
- Maintain stores inventory supply records, labeling and updating data and inventory items as directed.
- Marshal supplies and equipment, assembling loads, loading carts, bins, and trolleys, and transporting goods to designated areas.
- Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers, completing necessary documentation.
- Deliver, pick up, ship, and transport supplies and equipment, adhering to WHMIS and TDG regulations, and completing required documentation.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance functions on vehicles and equipment, maintaining documentation and recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Participate in inventory activities and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12, one year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, ability to operate related equipment, and physical ability to perform duties.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada, as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
