About the Role

The Loss Prevention Associate will be responsible for implementing and executing all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within their assigned location in partnership with Store Management and the Area Loss Prevention Manager, to protect the company's assets and ensure the safety of all customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Manager and Area Loss Prevention Manager with training of store personnel on Loss Prevention policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise accordance with Federal and Provincial laws, as well as company and department policy.
  • Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention senior management.
  • Utilize Loss Prevention technology equipment including CCTV, Access Control, EAS, and exception-based reporting systems to identify and act on loss and safety issues within assigned location.
  • Provide direct support to assigned locations for taking of financial inventory, and RFID based cycle counts as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ year of related experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection in a multi-unit capacity.
  • Full understanding of Canadian federal, provincial and local laws and regulations regarding apprehensions, safety, and all aspects of Loss Prevention.
  • Being provincially licensed is also the requirement for this role.
