We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis according to the standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and approved standards of care of the Corporation.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and self-care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BScN preferred, minimum completion of Diploma in Nursing.
- Minimum one year of recent (within 1-2 years) clinical experience.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Previous experience in palliative care an asset.
- Leadership experience an asset.
- Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) preferred.
- Recent Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Experience preferred.
- Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Gerontology certification preferred.
- LEAP training preferred.
- Acceptable performance and attendance records.
