Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Lead to join our team at Hometaste Inc. as a key player in ensuring the highest quality of food service and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

The Food Service Lead will be responsible for supervising food preparation, training staff, and maintaining quality control standards in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Management: Establish work schedules and methods to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise staff members and coordinate food preparation to meet quality control standards.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to enhance their performance and knowledge.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredients and supplies required to maintain efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and services meet the highest quality standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting areas of improvement and successes.
  • Order Summaries: Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Requirements

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring quality control and attention to customer needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively train staff and address customer complaints.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with extended periods of standing. You must be able to work efficiently, maintain attention to detail, and provide excellent customer service.
