Job Opportunity: Addie Staffing (Addy Global Solutions) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment, adhering to CSA C standards for electrical installations and modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment
  • Review Work Order assignments daily, execute, and document daily activities within our ERP Maintenance system
  • Participate in daily department meetings
  • Perform PM and PdM tasks as scheduled, generate Work Orders for items identified as requiring attention outside the PM or PdM
  • Review PM tasks and verify that they address failure modes, recommend changes as part of continuous improvement
  • Follow Equipment Stores' procedures for obtaining parts
  • Contact suppliers as appropriate for technical support and clarification for procurement of parts as required
  • Maintain a clean personal workspace and work areas, participate in weekly shop cleaning schedule
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and instruments in good working order
  • Maintain up-to-date building and equipment documentation in Maintenance Library as well as electronically
  • Communicate with incoming shift regarding current issues to ensure proper hand-off
  • Perform other duties as scheduled

Requirements:

  • Must have superior Electrical and mechanical skills
  • Must have strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Must have ability and willingness to work scheduled shifts
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others across all departments
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have proven ability to interpret schematics and other related equipment documentation
  • Must have ability to lift items of 40 lbs and perform duties involving repetitive stretching motions, stair/ladder climbing, and standing
