Job Summary

The Senior Data Privacy Analyst will provide expert guidance on data and information management, privacy, security, and quality practices to support the College's compliance with international, Canadian, and provincial data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and functional guidance on data and information management, privacy, security, and quality practices.
  • Lead investigations, documentation, and evaluation of data and information management, privacy, security, and quality practices.
  • Assist in maintaining and co-creating new business processes and workflows to capture information quality standards, data stewardship, data literacy, and data accessibility assurance.
  • Contribute to projects and audits to evaluate information creation, collection, use, and disclosure, and measure adherence to data and information management, privacy, security, and quality requirements.
  • Participate in defining new or refining existing data governance frameworks, approaches, and methodologies.
Requirements
  • 3-year Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Analysis, or a related field.
  • 7 years' experience as a Senior Business/Data/Privacy Analyst or similar role in a private or public sector organization.
  • Experience in developing and delivering awareness training.
  • Experience in providing advice and recommendations regarding data and information, privacy, security, and quality legislation, policy, and best practices.
  • Experience in developing policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Experience working in higher education is considered an asset.
