Job Title: Data Asset Management Director

Algonquin College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Data Asset Management Director. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong background in financial management, project management, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of the Financial Sustainability Roadmap initiatives and transformation projects.
  • Oversee the execution of approved initiatives and projects, ensuring timely delivery and financial returns.
  • Establish the transformation vision and strategic approach to achieve financial sustainability.
  • Present regular updates to the Algonquin College Executive Team and the Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Board of Governors.
  • Supervise a team and receive support from the Finance and Administrative Services Department and other faculties and departments in the College.
Requirements:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience.
  • Highly developed skills in change management, communications, leadership, finance, human relations, problem-solving, and presentation.
  • Knowledge and application of lean management principles is an asset.
  • Administrative planning and management skills, including team-building and change management.
  • Excellent analytic skills related to policy, budget, and operations issues.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Significant financial management and planning skills.
  • Data Science education and skills.
