Job Title: Permanent Junior Teacher Position at St. Michael Catholic Elementary School
Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Junior Teacher to join our team at St. Michael Catholic Elementary School. As a Junior Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education Degree and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- Qualifications appropriate to the position
- Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
- Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation, and assessment techniques
- Current in understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices
- Effective classroom management skills
