About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Accountant to join our team at Padgett Business Services. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing our financial statements and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Management: Prepare and manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accounting Systems Administration: Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure efficient and accurate financial data management.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial, business, and tax advice to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Outlook.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, adaptability, due diligence, and proactivity.
