Airswift is recruiting a Pipeline Integrity Specialist to join our client, a midstream company, in Calgary, AB. This 12-month contract opportunity requires an individual with expertise in pipeline integrity and a strong background in engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess in-line inspection reports to determine verification and repair projects, ensuring pipeline segments' integrity.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on incoming reports, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile data and information for engineering assessments on changes in pipeline operation and status.
  • Support ILI project planning by preparing questionnaires and reviewing vendor quotes.
  • Assist in data gathering and reporting for regular information requests.
  • Work under the supervision of an engineer in the Pipeline Implementation group on various projects.
  • Conduct temporary ROW road crossing calculations and water crossing assessments for the ROW program owner.
  • Populate records management systems with construction data, including historical pressure test documentation and materials test records.
  • Analyze data to identify common themes in pipeline systems, informing strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree and Professional Engineering registration with APEGA.
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience in pipeline integrity, threat assessment, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with pipeline integrity technologies, including MFL, Geometry, IMU, and ultrasonic analysis.
  • Experience in pipeline operations, maintenance, and defect assessment, evaluation, and repair.
  • Critical analytical and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks on tight deadlines.
