Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including performing examinations, administering treatments, and conducting diagnostic procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and priorities of each client, working closely with the interprofessional team to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal health outcomes.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as mental health, addictions, and community health nursing.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree in nursing or a related field, with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • At least 1-3 years of experience providing trauma-informed acute or community health nursing care/services to patients with complex physical, psychiatric, and/or substance abuse/misuse disorders.
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening, tuberculosis screening, and employee immunization record form.
  • First Aid 1 and Current CPR certification, as well as a valid driver's license.
