Job Title: Proposal Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and write detailed, accurate proposal content that aligns with client requirements.
  • Create compelling and concise content for proposals, including an executive summary, company profile, and project and team portfolio.
  • Incorporate graphics and other design elements that enhance key messaging.
  • Review and edit drafts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements.
  • Create templates, reusable content, and visuals for future use.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal experts to develop strategic approaches to differentiate our business.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and/or support proposal pursuit and kick-off meetings.
  • Assist with Request for Proposal/Request for Qualification documents from clients.
  • Coordinate with trade partners to gather required documentation.
  • Support the Project Management team to facilitate a smooth handover once a project has been awarded.
  • Support additional activities within the Business Development team.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Writing, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Years of experience in construction, project management, business development, or a similar role.
  • Plus years developing and producing construction proposals or similar documents requiring technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and deliver presentations effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, and an aptitude for learning various computer applications.
  • Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar) an asset.
  • Tactful, diplomatic, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly variable environment, and a willingness to take on a variety of duties.
  • Ability to utilize judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to take the initiative to liaise with other departments and/or external sources.
