As a Hybrid Cloud Engineer at TSX Inc., you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions that drive business growth and innovation. Our company, TSX Inc., is a leading global exchange that operates several of the world's most iconic markets, including the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Montreal Exchange.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual who can leverage their expertise in cloud transformation and technology to drive innovation and excellence across our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public cloud experience, ideally with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and excellent technical documentation skills to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About the Role:

The Hybrid Cloud Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting various cloud and infrastructure platforms, designing and building technical solutions based on business requirements and evaluating information technology trends and practices.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills, including exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong automation and programmatic approach to systems management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for and drive the adoption of cloud technology throughout the organization
  • Develop, lead, and maintain cloud platform services to enable innovation and responsible use
  • Design, install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Create and maintain systems configuration leveraging industry-standard configuration management tools and processes
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions applying best practices and standards that meet strategic business goals
  • Develop scripts for programmatic solutions to complex systems tasks
  • Identify system resource bottlenecks and work with other teams to test and tune systems for optimal performance
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and availability
  • Create, maintain, and enforce systems standards
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd-level systems support
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Requirements:

  • A college diploma or university degree or relevant job experience in computer science or engineering
  • 5 years of public cloud experience (ideally AWS)
  • Public Cloud Certification, ideally AWS
  • Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) GitOps (Ansible, Terraform, GitHub/GitLab)
  • Container platforms and orchestration (OpenShift, EKS, Rancher RKE, GKE)
  • Excellent scripting skills (Perl/Python)
