Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Holland Motor Hotel. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll and Benefits: Process payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques for employees, and administer benefits programs.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Cultural Competency: Participate in cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
