$110,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

A Day in the Life

As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you'll have the opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems, designing and building innovative technologies that drive business outcomes. You'll collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and bring products and services to market.

You'll be responsible for creating solutions to run predictions on distributed systems, working with cutting-edge technologies at an incredible scale and speed. Your expertise will be essential in designing and coding the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

In this agile environment, you'll deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders. With millions of customers, sellers, and products around the world relying on our systems, your contributions will have a significant impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree between April 2022 to September 2024.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
  • Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
