About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our cloud development team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy innovative cloud-based products.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader with a strong track record of managing high-performing teams. You will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, software development life cycles, and agile methodologies. You should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and have a passion for innovation and customer obsession.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage, and develop a team of engineers to deliver high-quality cloud-based products.
  • Own the success of multiple development engagements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to understand customer needs and drive product innovation.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of cloud technologies, including AWS services and open-source frameworks.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, a customer-obsessed mindset, and a commitment to innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering team management.
  • 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
  • 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of software engineers.
