Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of our Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP). As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal and external contacts to ensure clients receive the necessary equipment and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the HELP program, including coordination with health equipment technicians and long-term care facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of loans, returns, inventory, and statistics, ensuring compliance with program procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify client needs and provide equipment solutions.
  • Network with facilities, OTs, and equipment providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure safe work practices and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy with membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or established eligibility.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience, with a focus on health equipment and geriatrics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and experience with inventory control systems.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the province.
