Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities.
  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functionality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to identify patients' needs and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with mental health patients.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
