Job Summary: Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning is seeking a qualified content expert/curriculum developer to complete a major revision of PSYC 3541: Cognition and Memory.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions to develop a detailed course planning document.
- Develop and revise content, including learning activities and assessments, to ensure relevance and appropriateness for an online continuous entry course.
- Create multimedia and active learning activities to enhance student engagement.
- Choose effective resources, prioritize low-cost and accessible options, and accurately cite sources.
- Follow guidelines on AI-generated content and respect intellectual property laws.
- PhD in Cognitive Psychology, Biological Psychology, or Behavioural Neuroscience.
- Demonstration of current and ongoing engagement in the course subject matter through research and/or scholarship of teaching.
- Recent and substantial experience in cognitive psychology.
- Demonstrated ability to write in a clear and consistent style, with grammatical accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
- Experience or training in facilitating online instruction is an asset.
