Job DescriptionThe Director of Development will be instrumental in driving The Leadership Institute dba Hollyhock's mission forward by leading and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Fundraising Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute a robust development department, incorporating multiple philanthropic and sponsorship revenue streams totaling $1 - 2 million annually, while collaborating with senior leadership. - Corporate Sponsorships and Mission Aligned Partnerships:
Cultivate and secure corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with our mission and values. - Grant Writing and Foundation Relations:
Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations and other funding sources, effectively managing relationships and providing required reports. - Leadership and Team Management:
Foster a collaborative culture within the Development team, promoting growth and mentorship while participating in senior leadership stewardship. - Communications and Marketing:
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop fundraising collateral, leveraging social media and digital platforms to enhance fundraising efforts and engage donors.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in fundraising, with a focus on major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants;
- Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management systems;
- A personal commitment to equity and inclusion, with understanding and application of anti-oppression practices at work and in community.
