This is a high-level overview of the project.

  • Lead multi-million dollar business transformational programs involving complex technical solutions in the BSS industry.
  • Foster a clear understanding of project's role in meeting departmental objectives.
Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Independently develop responsibilities and specifications and resource plan for projects by identifying project phases and elements, studying project/client requirements, develop project teams, reviewing vendor/contractor bids and preparing cost estimates.
  2. Develop, plan, and manage implementation of multiple extremely complex technical projects with broad scope, high impact, and variable implementation time frames.
  3. Oversee the development of each aspect of projects resolving simple to the most complex issues.
  4. Provide leadership and mentoring to Project Managers and others, both intra- and inter-departmentally, to ensure complete, successful, cost-effective, and on-time implementation of project deliverables and corporate initiatives.
  5. Provide fiscal management of the projects within the capital and expense budgetary limits prescribed.
  6. Provide workload balancing, prioritization, resource scheduling, ad integration of multiple projects to ensure feasibility of schedule.
  7. Support Bid Management process for Solution Delivery.
  8. Report account status to senior management and the board.
  9. Ensure company interests are addressed by working closely with contract administration, legal, and other support organizations ensuring the overall success of the project.
  10. Ensure compliance with contractual and service level agreements.
  11. Work directly with multiple technical teams, external organizations, or customers.
  12. Prepare and present executive briefings and make recommendations for executive action.
  13. Develop and write project management documentation (i.e., project charters, project schedules, work breakdown structures, request for proposal/information, risk mitigation plans, and communication plans).
  14. Provide technical recommendations based on reviews of operational processes and procedures.
  15. Provide in-depth research and analysis into new technologies and technology refreshes.
  16. Manage client and vendor issues in relation to implementation decisions and preferences.
  17. Anticipate and resolve management, resource, and scheduling problems.
  18. Coordinate interdepartmental and corporate initiatives and commitment to client programs.
  19. Serve as a line manager for multiple disciplines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven ability to lead multi-million dollar business transformational programs involving complex technical solutions in the BSS industry.
  • Capable of fostering a clear understanding of project's role in meeting departmental objectives.
  • Advanced business knowledge and excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision on complex projects.
  • Capable of conflict resolution and project risk mitigation.
  • The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in project management 'best practices' as defined by the Project management Institute.
  • Candidates will have experience in influencing change in an organization, developing exceptional project teams across geographic and corporate boundaries.
  • Must have proficiency with various software applications including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research and present technical recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, collaborative, technical projects to closure.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in working in a multi-client and multi-vendor environment.
  • Detail and customer service oriented.
  • MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN CANADA.
Education
  • A degree in a related field.
