Job Title: Senior Associate, Structural

At 30 Forensic Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Civil/Structural Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical services to our clients, including structural assessments, remediation, and failure analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform site examinations, document review, and communicate investigation and analysis findings to colleagues and clients.
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to consult with clients, perform examinations, testing, and analysis, and prepare technical reports.
  • Prepare structural calculations, simulations, and technical drawings from field measurements, sketches, and other data.
  • Prepare technical reports and drawings based on sound investigations and analysis.
  • Manage client service deadlines, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable on projects according to organizational best practices.
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis and provide updates throughout the investigation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the firm's mission, vision, and values.
  • Participate in business development, marketing, and the advancement of market and firm growth opportunities.
  • Manage projects in an efficient manner and adhere to billing and reporting requirements and/or client-based master service agreements.
  • Work in a collaborative environment, both on your team and across disciplines.
  • Prepare for expert testimony in court.
Expectations:
  • Spend approximately 70% of your time working on client files.
  • Spend approximately 15% of your time on industry and marketing activities.
  • Spend approximately 15% of your time on professional development.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with PEO and OIQ.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout Canada.
