The Island Health Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology and Medical Genetics invites highly skilled Anatomical Pathologists to apply for a full-time position based at the North Island Campbell River Hospital (CRG).

This role offers an excellent opportunity for medical professionals with expertise in anatomical pathology to contribute to seamless pathology services within the community and within the Department of Laboratory Medicine.

In this capacity, you will work closely with a team of professionals, sharing knowledge and collaborating to provide high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include providing direct services such as:

  • Surgical Pathology (including Frozen Sections/Intraoperative Consultations) and hospital autopsy services;
  • Grossing of all Level 3 surgical specimens and working with operational staff grossing Levels 1 & 2.

A competitive salary is offered for this role, with additional remuneration available through the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:

  • Relocation Costs Reimbursement – up to $15,000;
  • Recruitment Incentive - $10,000;
  • Fee Premium – 4.20%
  • Annual Flat Fee – $6,373.80;
  • Rural CME starting at $3,000/annum increasing to a maximum of $6,000/annum after 4 years.
