Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Regularly perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with Central Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing it during transport.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess a valid Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Flexibility and Reliability: Demonstrate flexibility and reliability in your work, with a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a work term of 40 to 60 hours per week. The work language is English, and you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
