Job Title: Flatbed Truck Driver

At STEEL HUB TRANSPORT, we are seeking a skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Ensure that all goods are properly loaded and unloaded from the truck, taking care to secure them for safe transportation.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Safely operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and ensure the vehicle is always in good working order.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing it during transportation.
Requirements:
  • AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license to operate heavy trucks.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with bill of lading, driver logbook, and trip reports.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working long hours.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
Work Environment:

As a Flatbed Truck Driver with STEEL HUB TRANSPORT, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.
