Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

V Contracting Inc is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to operate heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, and loaders
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Secure special attachments to equipment as needed
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to stay in touch with team members
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment as needed
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
Work Environment

The Heavy Equipment Operator will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced operators. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Language

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.

Hours of Work

The Heavy Equipment Operator will work 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as needed.
