Job Opportunity:
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a highly skilled professional to support the corporate real estate division. As a Property Administration Accountant, you will oversee complex accounting functions related to property administration. Working with a collaborative team in a hybrid environment, this role provides the opportunity to build valuable industry connections and gain hands-on experience managing financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for a high-profile real estate portfolio.

Compensation Package:
The estimated salary for this position is between $33 to $40 per hour for salaried work and $40 to $48 per hour for incorporated business rates. The contract duration is 13 months with potential for permanent employment. You will work full-time, 37.50 hours per week, with a weekday schedule from 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5 pm. The hybrid work arrangement includes three office days from Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:
This role involves setting up job budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring timely completion with authorized approvals. You will conduct high-level financial analysis on the real estate portfolio, providing timely and accurate reporting to management. Your tasks will include performing monthly closing entries, analyzing the General Ledger monthly to verify accuracy and ensure transaction completeness, preparing and submitting quarterly/monthly forecasts and variance analyses, managing and recording asset depreciation, gathering data for comprehensive yearly budgets aligned with organizational goals, and reviewing and approving quarterly lease reports and providing ad hoc reports as needed.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need a University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate Management, or a related field. You should have at least 2 years of progressive experience in accounting within the real estate industry. Strong understanding of property management, accounting, and administration concepts is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary, along with a commitment to maintaining accurate records. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as well as strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Having a CPA designation or active CPA student status is also preferred. Experience with Yardi software, Procore software, and Prism software is beneficial.
