McLean Hospital, a world-renowned psychiatric hospital, seeks an experienced Mental Health Worker to join its team. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary staff, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of mental health services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional direct patient care, working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient outcomes. This includes assisting with daily activities, administering Point of Care testing, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.

In this dynamic environment, you will also participate in therapeutic milieu activities, including planning and implementing patient groups, supervising recreation and off-hall activities, and promoting a clean and organized unit environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional direct patient care, working collaboratively with RNs and other healthcare professionals
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as hygiene needs and nutritional requirements
  • Administer Point of Care testing and maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Participate in therapeutic milieu activities, including planning and implementing patient groups
  • Maintain a safe and clean unit environment, reporting any housekeeping or equipment issues to Unit Secretary/ND
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, preferably with two years of college plus one year of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others.
