About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to join our team at Globant. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that integrate with various data sources, including structured and unstructured data systems.
  • Data Warehousing: Develop and maintain data warehouses using Microsoft and Informatica ETL tools, ensuring high-performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • ETL/ELT Techniques: Utilize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) techniques to extract data from various sources, transform it into a suitable format, and load it into the data warehouse.
  • Big Data Solutions: Design and develop big data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Informatica, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including analytics, business, and engineering teams, to ensure data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other quality assurance processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data pipelines, architectures, and processes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision making.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of technical experience in data warehousing, data engineering, and ETL/ELT techniques using Microsoft and Informatica ETL tools.
  • Skills: Expert-level SQL skills, thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts, including schema design and dimensional data modeling, experience developing Microsoft BI Solutions, and ability to manage and communicate data warehouse plans to internal clients.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with Snowflake and Power BI.
