About the Role

We're seeking a driven and passionate Senior Engineer who's looking to take their career to the next level. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading civil design projects, working closely with business leads and managers, and collaborating with project directors to deliver complex and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead civil design projects, including earthworks, landfills, solid waste, and site remediation design
  • Coordinate all aspects of the civil design, including budget and schedule management
  • Develop or verify the technical scope of a project
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues
  • Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision-making related to civil design
  • Ensure the client's requirements, including specifications and standards, are integrated into the project
  • Mentor and develop junior staff
  • Represent GHD at client meetings when required

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and P. Eng in Ontario
  • Minimum of 10 years of extensive technical design experience
  • Proven experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on earthworks, site remediation, solid waste, and renewable energy
  • Experience working in a Design-Build environment is considered an asset
  • Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards is considered essential
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment
  • Team building and mentoring skills
